Day before my DOT Physical
Well tonight I sit here and await having my yearly DOT physical. I usually am super nervous about it, but this time I have been working on losing weight for the last twenty seven days. I have watched my blood pressure decrease and my pants get looser. This will also be the first time I have stepped on a scale since this time last year. I weighed 325 pounds at five foot seven. I am anxious to see where that number falls.
I am also getting myself ready to start incorporating physical fitness into my daily routine. I have done really good in cutting carbs and processed sugars. I definitely have had times where I wasn’t sure that I could make it without giving in, but I have treated it just like any other addiction.
I will be posting the results tomorrow evening. I just keep reminding myself that if it was easy everyone would do it. -
A little about myself
Hello, my name is Terence and I am on a journey. I have been an over the road truck driver for over ten years. During that time I have gained weight and made promises to myself to get healthy. Those promises have been broken countless times. I am on a mission to get healthy and share my journey with others. In doing so maybe it will help someone else that may be struggling to get started. I am not an expert in dieting or motivation. I am a guy who lacks discipline and would stress eat at any time. This blog is more about holding me accountable than anything else. I am working on discipline and being okay with being uncomfortable. I am coming to the end of the first month where I concentrated on just changing my diet. I have chosen to go carnivore as I have never been a vegetable eater. This second month I am incorporating physical fitness into my daily routine.
